We don't cook!

Why do I let my kids watch TV? I don't know. They like it. They leave me alone while watching it. I can pretend it is educational. But it also gives them another venue to fight and to be a source of fodder for my blog.

Overheard this morning:

Dennis (6 years old): Xander! I don't want to watch this.

Xander (4 years old): I want to watch food show!

Dennis: But Xander! This is a cooking show and, um, we don't cook.

Now that I type it, it doesn't look so funny. It's all with the tone. Imagine Dennis' last line with a tone that betrays the overwhelming feeling that his 4 year old brother is a complete moron.
